THE BRIEF
A personal project based on a talk by Aviation Safety Consultant Debbie Riley from Airport Solutions Ltd at TAS Manchester (29 April 2019).
THE ACTION
A design challenge to show the definitions, statistics, impact in a more visual way. Sources referenced.
THE OUTCOME
The audience can see the altitudes, the 13 km radius in relation to each other which makes the definitions more memorable. Bird management solutions are placed in three columns according to their effectiveness. The appeal to report birdstrike occurrences may result in more data being submitted from other parts of the world. The presentation can be used as an introduction to practical staff training or as a stand-alone talk.
